What are some good suburbs around Springfield QLD?

My family and I need to move closer to Springfield QLD for a job my hubby just got; however the rentals seem quite expensive there and the sections are REALLY small so I wondered what were some good suburbs around Springfield - say within 10-15 minute drive that have cheaper rents but not sacrificing too much on school quality etc. We are looking for a 3-4bd house but dont want to pay any more than $330-$350. Is Redbank Plains any good? I have seen some really nice houses for around $320-330 for 3-4bdrms but wasnt sure what that area was like so if anyone has some advise would be great. Oh and we only have 1 car at the moment so somewhere that has good buses etc for taking the kids to school would be a huge bonus. Thanks!
