Mal Meninga, QLD Coach and Canberra Raiders legend thinks an AFL guy can play Rugby League?

There are probably 20 or 30 AFL players who could transition to Rugby League but I doubt that any would want to give up the freedom of the 360 degree code and move to the restriction of the 180 degree (on-side / off-side ) code with every player having to commit to periods of just defence on much smaller grounds which multiplies that negative aspect. I doubt that even money could buy that change.
