What is the big deal about the Illuminati?

I'm asking this because I study this type of stuff & i've come to the final conclusion that "so what if they are real and doing all of this supposed ****? What happens happens." I was a large anti-Illuminati guy awhile back but now I think that if they exist, whatever, if they don't, whatever. I'll see what happens and something happens, as long as I got weapons i'll be fine. Besides, if theyre a secret society then why is all of this info out in the open? And besides there are too many theories as to things surrounding the supposed organization. Just answer on here with your personal opinion of this matter, even if its a simple real or fake...
