Best places to holiday in Australia?

I am Australian and do live in Australia. My Partner and I want to go on a holiday we were thinking qld or something? We are due for a baby early January so were looking to go around September. So being pregnant theme parks are out of the picture :( we want somewhere were there is good shopping a nice beach and fun things to do eg: zoo or something, :)
