So upset =( Ipod Touch help? SOMEONE PLEASE! :'(?

okay, so i have had my iPod touch since 2009. today, i was just listening to it, as i usually am, with earphones. and it was fine. the screen is cracked, but i have never had a problem with playing music, or earphones, or anything like that. so, today, in Sociology i just got it out to listen to it, and i could see the song had started but NOTHING WAS PLAYING? so i was like ahh! damn earphones >< so i put my friends pair in.. and still nothing was playing? the sound was up to FULL volume. my friend than tried my earphones in her iphone, and they worked. WTF is wrong with my ipod? this sucks so bad! i am flying to QLD next week and music really really helps my anxiety on planes. but it looks like this time i won't have that music. also, i have a dentist app next week, and ipod always calms me down =( no more ipod =( i am so so so so nervous for both these things now, :( waaaaaaaaaaa should i take my ipod to the apple shop? WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. i reset it and everything
