How can I keep my hair straight in humidity?

I live in north QLD (More humid than Florida, if you want a comparison) and I want to be able to straighten my hair. I just ordered a genuine GHD Gold Styler, and I was wondering how I can straighten my hair with my GHD and what products I can use that will keep my hair straight all day in the humidity. Thanks! :)
